Monger delivers a podium stunner on British F3 debut!

Billy Monger enjoyed a remarkable entry into the British F3, finishing third in the series' opening round at Oulton Park.

The 18-year-old who lost his legs just twelve months ago in a horrendous F4 crash at Donington, followed up his impressive P5 qualifying performance with a flawless drive in Race 1 behind winner Linus Lundqvist and Nicolai Kjaergaard.

Monger's Carlin-entered Tatuus Cosworth features several specific modifications to accommodate his needs, with a throttle on the steering wheel and a single brake pedal activated by his prosthetic leg.

Needless to say it was 'Monger thunder' when the valiant young man walked on to the podium to collect his trophy, the ecstatic crowd delivering a loud and warm round of applause to the day's hero.
