Ronnie Peterson 'Superswede' trailer released

.

Much to our joy, documentaries on Formula 1 icons have been multiplying lately and 'Superswede' is the latest film dedicated to one of the sport's legendary heroes.

Co-produced by Nina Kennedy, Ronnie and Barbro Peterson's daughter, the film looks back at the life of one of F1's truly most popular - and spectacular - champions.

The documentary features archived footage and enjoys many tributes from Niki Lauda, Emerson Fittipaldi, Sir Jackie Stewart, Mario Andretti, Jody Scheckter and John Watson among others.

Just like Gilles Villeneuve and Stirling Moss, Ronnie was undoubtedly one of the fastest F1 drivers never to become world champion.

Sitting on the threshold of glory, Ronnie Peterson saw his fate tragically intervene at Monza in 1978, and deprive motor racing of one of its most outstanding talents.

The film appears to be only available through Swedish streaming service Viaplay, but will hopefully enjoy an extended release later on this year.
