Sergio Perez was unquestionably one of the stars of the day in this week's Bahrain Grand Prix.
He had to overcome a setback in qualifying, when late yellow flags left him starting the race from 18th place on the grid.
But Perez made up five places on the first lap alone, and was helped by the safety cars to make it into seventh place. He stayed there for the rest of the race, claiming another six points for the team keeping them in fourth place in the constructors' championship.
It was the kind of charge that we've seen from Checo in the past, but it's still just as impressive every time. And F1i's readers agreed, voting him the Driver of the Day by a mile.
After the race, he sat down to record a special message for F1i to talk about how his day had gone.

"We didn't give up, we gave our best," he says. "We managed to recover and finish P7 bringing home a lot of points. Very pleased for the performance of the car and the team.
"We are fourth in the constructors championship, which is great news," he added. "It's been a great weekend. I look forward to going back to Europe and keep doing a great job.
"Thank you so much for your support!"
