MERCEDES’ NEW REAR WING APPROACH

Instead of running a similar rear wing spec to the one used at Silverstone and Spa, which both share a common DNA with the high-speed Suzuka layout, Mercedes elected to race its high-downforce design, though it did reduce the upper flap (compare orange arrows), while also removing the wing-tip indentations (see red arrows).
