The Frenchman did well to qualify 12th, but got boxed in at the start and dropped several positions. When Grosjean created a smoke screen at turn three, he was blinded and clouted the parked VF-18. It would’ve been interesting to see what the Honda powertrain could have done at the yardstick Barcelona circuit.
