Kevin was aiming for a repeat of his Mexico performance to push the American outfit into 6th or even 5th in the Constructor’s standings, but a balance issue saw the Dane’s qualifying run end in Q1. On lap one he ran into Vandoorne, who had no room with Ricciardo on the outside, resulting in suspension damage to the Haas and an early end to the race for Magnussen.
