He said it himself: the Belgian put in the best performance of his young career and no one can argue otherwise. Despite not having the latest aero bits awarded to Alonso, Stoffel put in an impressive seventh best time in Q3 and held his own on Sunday, only overtaken by Pérez. He finsihed ahead of Ocon and both Williams’ and is now actually ahead of his double world champion team mate in the points!
