The Russian made history yesterday in being sanctioned twice for the same offence (after stalling on the formation lap and taking his spot on the grid for the start) with a drive-through, followed later by a ten-second hold during his pit stop. His ire was understandable. Making matters worse was his retirement, while running in the top ten, which he came close to doing as well in qualifying despite heavy contact with a wall.
