In 1983, Tyrrell had to use ingenuity to keep its car - powered by a naturally-aspirated V8 - at the same level as F1's new turbocharged engines. During scrutineering, the commissioners therefore took special care to examine the car, which was running in the colours of Benetton. Still, it didn't prevent Michele Alboreto from winning in Detroit, the last of the 155 victories for the glorious Ford Cosworth DFV engine.
